The SBM 500H has recently been added to Homedic's well known massage product offerings. Homedic is the indusrty leader for producing a variety of massaging cushions to relieve stress and muscle pain in the upper torso. I have suffered from back maladies that range from a herniated disk to chronic sciatica.

After reading so many positive reviews on Amazon.com, I took advantage of their low price and free shipping. I felt that now was a great time to buy the SBM 500H!

According to the included manual, the Homedics SBM 500H is adjustable to virtually any chair. The adjustable velcro straps manage, under most conditions, to keep the cushion in place. I would kind of disagree with the manual, because I tried the unit with soft couches,etc., and the cushion actually was the most effective when attached to my hard back office chair.

The SBM 500H turns any chair in my home into my own personal Shiatsu massage chair!

I got immediate relief from the moving dual massage mechanism, which goes up and down my spine, performing good work in sorting out the knots in my back. I have a particular problem with the lower lumbar area of my spine, so I try to focus on that area.

I am actually able to hold the massage on that area for whatever time is necessary to experience relief.

SBM 500H- The Closest Thing To A Human Massage!

I can do this because of Homedics exclusive integrated Spot Shiatsu system. With it, it is simple to adjust the massage rollers on each side of your back. I swear the SBM 500H doesn't seem to miss a spot!.

My wife has also gotten quite fond of in-seat massage, which provides a soothing vibration massage that is guaranteed to put you to sleep!.

The kneading action of the rollers is truly remarkable! It is the closest feeling to a human massage that I have found. And at 100.00 or so, I have't gotten too many human massages recently!

I also tested the SBM 300H, which is a 2 roller system. The rollers seemed to penetrate more deeply than the 4 roller system of the SBM 500H.

However, the separate roller system for the shoulders and neck, was essential for me because I am tall. I also suffer with a chronic stiff neck, which the Homedics SBM 500H helps immensely!

I need to add a word regarding the heating function. The SBM 500H heats up quickly, in a little less than a minute. I like that because when I want relief, I want it NOW! The heat is subtle, and for from overpowering. It is amazing how it relaxes tight muscles!
